+In Deutschland begann Westfalia 1950 die Zusammenarbeit mit Volkswagen und entwickelte mit der »Camping-Box« ein Modul, das den T1 zum einfachen [[wiki:wohnmobile|Wohnmobil]] werden ließ, 1952 ergänzt durch ein Vorzelt. Nach 1958 baute Westfalia dann den VW-Bus komplett als Wohnmobil um und lieferte 1959 den eintausendsten Umbau aus. Die Modelle hießen James Cook und Sven Hedin, ab 1978 Joker, später Nugget und California.
